Photography for me is a hobby that nicely combines with other pursuits, like walking
and travelling. I have been interested in photography for most of my adult life,
however my interest really expanded with the introduction of digital cameras, computers
(Photoshop etc.) and the Internet. I currently own a Nikon D80, however a few of
the images may have been taken by my wife or son using their digital cameras or even

I enjoy manipulating images in Photoshop as much as I do taking them, and many of my images are digital creations. I do not specialise in any one area, I simply look for images wherever I am and happen to have a camera with me.
We live in a beautiful village (Scaldwell) near Northampton in the UK. Close by is Pitsford reservoir where we walk or cycle and where many of my images are captured. We are only 60 miles from London, 40 to Birmingham and just a few hours drive to places like the Derbyshire Dales and the Lake District.
Our family name (Crotty) originates in Ireland, in particular County Cork. Although my direct family my grandfather and fathers generation came from Donegal. The album ‘Family and Friends’ (obviously) is for them to be able to look at especially those who live in other countries. Please do look, there are some interesting images of bygone days of our parents and us! as children.
I built this simple site myself and will happily give advice or assistance if you are interested in having your own site. These days web sites are very inexpensive to start and keep up, and they are a great way of exhibiting your hobby and interests.
